Korean skeleton’s ‘new ace’ Jeong Seung-gi (23, Catholic Kwandong University) won three consecutive medals at the World Cup.
Jeong Seung-gi finished third with a total of 1:48:40 at the 2022-2023 International Bobsleigh Skeleton Federation (IBSF) World Cup 3rd Competition held in Lake Placid, USA on the 17th (Korean time), and won a bronze medal.
Jeong Seung-gi, who won silver medals in succession in the first and second competitions, showed a clear rise by climbing to the podium three times in a row. 스포츠토토
Matt Weston (Great Britain), who finished the race in 1:48.16, took first place, and Christopher Grotier (Germany) took second place with 1:48.32.
Kim Ji-soo (Gangwon Provincial Office) placed 7th with a time of 1:48:76.
Jeong Seung-gi said, “I feel good to be able to stand on the podium in this competition. I was a bit disappointed with the start because I was not in good condition, but after the Christmas break, I will show a good start in good condition at the European World Cup competition.”
Jeong Seung-gi and Kim Ji-soo will return to Korea and take a breather before entering the 4th tournament to be held in Winterberg, Germany on the 1st of next month.
