Pittsburgh lefty gets 3-game suspension for throwing threatening pitch at Machado
Pittsburgh Pirates left-hander Angel Perdomo has been disciplined for throwing a threatening pitch to an opposing batter.
The Major League Baseball Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced the three-game suspension and fine on Sunday, on behalf of Senior Vice President of Game Operations Michael Hill.
Perdomo was ejected after throwing a sandbag at the back of opposing batter Manny Machado while pitching in the bottom of the seventh inning of a game against the San Diego Padres at Petco Park in San Diego, California, the previous day.안전놀이터
The umpires ruled that Perdomo’s ejection was intentional, and Major League Baseball’s Office of the Commissioner also ruled that the pitch was intentional and issued a suspension.
Manager Derek Shelton, who was also ejected, was suspended for one game and fined.
The suspensions will be effective for today’s final game of the series against San Diego.
