Choi Ji-man (32, San Diego), who was about to return, collapsed again.

Annie Heilbrun, a reporter for the San Diego Union Tribune, reported on social media on the 7th (Korean time), “San Diego coach Bob Melvin said, ‘Ji-man Choi injured his foot during a rehabilitation game.'”

Ji-Man Choi played in the 2023 Major League Baseball (MLB) Minor League Triple-A Round Look Express (affiliated with the Texas Rangers) game held the day before at Southwest University Park in El Paso, Texas. It was his first actual game since being diagnosed with a left rib sprain on the 15th of last month and being placed on the injured list (IL).

Ji-Man Choi, wearing the uniform of the El Paso Chihuahuas (San Diego) and starting as the number 3 designated hitter, played well with 2 hits in 3 at-bats. However, he suffered bad news during the game when he was hit by his own batted ball and fell down.

Initially, it was known that Choi Ji-man had been diagnosed with a fracture, which raised concerns. But fortunately, it was confirmed that it was a simple bruise. Choi Ji-man’s domestic management company said, “It is a bruise, not a fracture, and if no other problems are found, he will play another rehabilitation game.”먹튀검증

Choi Ji-man, who left Tampa Bay and moved to Pittsburgh ahead of this season, was placed on the IL due to an Achilles injury on April 16. After returning to the big league on July 8, he opened a new home in San Diego through a trade on August 2.

In San Diego, Ji-Man Choi has yet to report a hit and is 0-hit in 11 at-bats. In the meantime, he broke his ribs and broke his foot.

Choi Ji-man’s big league performance this season is a batting average of 1.79 li (15 hits in 84 at-bats), 6 home runs, and 11 RBI. It remains to be seen whether he can shake off his bruises and return to the big leagues as soon as possible.
